Prisca at GodFirst
Growing in Confidence | Going Deeper into God's Word | Communicating it Well
We believe that God's Word is living and powerful, and that helping people encounter it well really matters.
That's why we're excited that GodFirst is now a Prisca hub - joining a wider community of churches across the UK committed to growing and developing preachers, Bible teachers and speakers.
Whether you're just beginning to explore preaching or have been teaching the Bible for years, Prisca offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding of Scripture, develop your communication skills and grow in confidence as you share God's Word with others.
We'd love to see people grow in their gifts, learn from one another and become even better equipped to communicate the truth of the Bible in ways that connect with people's lives today.
What is Prisca?
Prisca exists to equip, inspire and develop preachers, Bible teachers and speakers, helping them communicate the ancient truth of Scripture in ways that are engaging and effective in today's world.
Through a combination of teaching, practical resources and learning together in community, Prisca helps people to:
- Go deeper into the Bible
- handling Scripture faithfully, thoughtfully and with care.
- Grow in confidence
- developing the skills to communicate God's Word clearly and effectively.
- Preach with purpose
- bringing together biblical understanding, the work of the Holy Spirit and thoughtful communication.
- Learn alongside others
- sharing the journey with people who want to grow in their preaching and teaching, too.
Prisca is for people at all stages of their journey, whether you're taking your first steps in preaching or looking to develop skills you've been using for many years.

Prisca at GodFirst
As a Prisca hub, GodFirst will provide a place for people to engage with the Prisca programme, develop their preaching and teaching, and learn alongside others.
We'll work through the programme together using Prisca's written and video resources, with opportunities to reflect, discuss and grow as we develop our ability to communicate God's Word.
Our hope is that this will help equip and encourage people to use their gifts to serve the church and reach others with the good news of Jesus.
Who is it for?
Prisca is for anyone who wants to grow in their ability to preach or teach the Bible. You might already preach regularly, be involved in teaching in a ministry setting, or be beginning to explore whether preaching is something God is calling you to.
You don't need to have everything figured out. The aim is to keep learning, growing and becoming better equipped to handle God's Word faithfully and share it well.
