Calling all Christian visual artists — it’s time to step boldly into your creative calling! Join us on 13 February 2027 for our 2nd CREATE conference, an exciting one-day arts event designed to inspire, equip, and release you into Spirit-led creativity.

Ages 16+ | Limited spaces | This day is for YOU
- If you attend an art group, OR create at home OR have invested time and/or money into developing your practice, this indicates you are exploring about your creativity and wanting more !
- If you are a creative either working in the visual arts OR who feel the stirrings of passion or calling into the visuals arts.
This is NOT for musicians, writers, dancers, there are other more appropriate conferences for them.

Creative Sessions
- There will be 2 x 2 hour creative sessions.
- Attendees can bring an existing piece of creativity to work on, and/or take up challenge offered by each guest artist
- Please bring your own art materials (canvas, paper, paints, brushes etc)
- There is nowhere to store work created, so attendees will need to take their work home with them.

There will be tables available, but if you are able to bring and use your own floor-standing easel, this allows us to offer more spaces to artists. This is not a requirement, but please state on booking form if you will be bringing your own floor standing easel.
Cost
£30 Early Bird till 30 November 2026 (£35 standard price)
Coffee and tea will be provided.

This exciting conference is being organised by Katrina Moss and hosted by GodFirst Church and is open to all (ages 16+) who feel it is for them.

SPEAKERS
Guest speakers are artists, who engage in different ways in the arts. They will show their artwork and talk honestly about their process, faith, challenges of being a Christian artist in the art world and in church.
KATRINA MOSS – Artist & Innovator
Exploring the spiritual aspects of life and seeking to express them creatively.
Self taught, but having attended many art courses over the decades, I am passionate about encouraging and releasing artists to explore and communicate spirituality, faith and the mysteries of life through their creativity for the benefit of others and themselves,
I had the privilege to be the founder of the CHAIYA ART AWARDS, what was for 7 years, the UK’s largest biennial art awards exploring spirituality through the visual arts, with a top prize of £10,000. This was open to people of all faiths and none and everyone in-between. During those years Chaiya:
- Welcomed nearly 12,000 visitors to our exhibitions. at the OXO & Bargehouse galleries on London’s Southbank.
- Displayed 320 artworks.
- Over 5,000 people participated in our public votes.
- We received over 320,000 hits on our website.
- Networked with nearly 8,000 artists across the UK.
- Awarded £45,000 in prize money to artists

CHRIS DUFFETT - Artist & Creative Evangelist
Chris' fine art seeks to prophetically bring the colours and mystery of other realms. His work is playful and joy filled with an overemphasis of light. His desire is to bring words, comfort and scenes from God's heart to those he paints for.
Chris studied Art with Theology at Chester College and has exhibited all over the UK. His work is often used for publications and magazines and his art work was used internationally for the prayer movement Thy Kingdom Come.
For 25 years Chris led The Light Project/ Light College, he also served as the president of the Baptist Union of Great Britain. He now serves as artist in residence for a Cambridge city centre church, St Andrews street Baptist Church and serves churches in Unity seeking to reach their communities with good news. Annually Chris serves as a chaplain on Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli) off the north coast of Wales
My ministry as an artist and evangelist means I bring the good news of Jesus in creative ways! Be it painting in Wetherspoons or our local café, I love to share creatively what I believe.

SARAH GRACE DYE - Visual Artist, Curator & Educator
Sarah has been working within the Visual Arts for over thirty years through practice, curation, education and mentoring. She has an MA in visual arts and many years experience of teaching in a University setting as well as with community groups. The driving compulsion to create encourages making everyday and more often than not using waste products as materials, from her home and garden. Her practise consists of a plethora of things from making paper and botanical inks to cyanotype and quilting all underpinned by a dedicated drawing practice alongside her main focus of Artists Books. She exhibits both nationally and internationally and enjoys residency opportunities whenever one presents itself. Her ethos dictates that it is important to waste nothing, that everything has a purpose and an inherent beauty to be examined, explored, elevated and a new purpose discovered.
Sarah holds the core believe that everyone has the capacity to be creative and endeavours to create pockets of encouragement to enable that discovery to happen for others. Through this fundamental belief she has built a number of communities with a central focus of creativity in one form or another as places of safety to explore and discover ones own creative self.
Sarah is a trustee of Sputnik Faith & Arts and heads up a mentoring team within that role.
