As mentioned on Sunday, we have been able to hold our first SWEP (Severe Weather Emergency Protocol) outreach in our Godfirst building. We were so honoured to be the first place to open its doors in Christchurch. God is so good, we made up beds, provided food, played games and gave a safe, warm place for them to sleep indoors. One of our visitors said, 'It’s the first time I have slept all night since… I can't remember’, ‘It feels so safe and peaceful here’. What an amazing community outreach for God's glory. Each visitor received a ‘Back-Pack’ filled with underwear, socks, deodorant, chocolate, a prayer, writing material and lots more.
Can you help? There is a ‘Yellow Bucket List’ by the entrance and exit door - please, drop off things from the list (new only). God bless and thank you in advance.
Amazingly, it's almost two years since Sharon Hemmingfield started working for GodFirst, in the Community Chaplain role, in partnership with Christchurch Housing Association. Sadly, Christchurch Housing have decided to end the agreement with GodFirst, but are keeping the Community Chaplain role. This means that Sharon will be finishing work with GodFirst at the end of this year, but will remain in the role as a direct employee of Christchurch Housing Association. We'll miss you in the office, Sharon!

We rarely get this training this far south so this is an amazing opportunity to take up. The training is suitable for any church thinking of starting a Bethel Sozo team, or starting to look into it. But it is also suitable for anyone who wants outstanding prayer teaching and tools which can be used in pastoral settings and on the prayer line. Please feel free to forward the link to other churches in the area who may be interested. To find out more please go to godfirst.church/bethel-sozo
