Thrive Strength & Balance

Strength & Balance is a weekly exercise class that we run at The Runway, the home of GodFirst.

Strength & Balance is suitable for you if you feel your mobility is restricted - perhaps you have a fear of falling or your balance is compromised.

A typical class would start with a warm up, mobilising your joints and preparing you for exercise. We'll then work on endurance, balance and strength for daily living. This would be followed by some cooldown time and stretches to improve posture.

Who’s it for?

Our sessions are open to anyone who feels their mobility is compromosed, whether they be part of GodFirst or in our local community. We'd love you to invite  friends and family who you think might also benefit. 

What do I need to bring?

You should wear clothes that give you freedom to exercise, including suitable footwear. Also bring a bottle of water and any medication that you may need.

Where?

Sessions are held at The Runway, Airfield Road, Christchurch, BH23 3TG.

When?

Thrive Strength & Balance runs on Thursdays at 12:00 midday.

We will always start on time. Please aim to arrive at least 5 minutes early so that you’re ready to start with us.

Do I need to book?

YES!

We need you to book in so that we can plan the activities and have the right equipment for the number of people who are coming. It really helps us plan if you’re able to book early. Numbers have to be limited in order to keep everyone safe - so that’s another great reason to book early.

So please book in advance for each session you’re joining. 

The first time you book you’ll be asked to complete a ‘Readiness Questionnaire’ but you don’t need to complete that again unless your health changes.
