Welcome to 'Lessons from the Burning Bush' - found in Exodus 3.
As part of our extended time of prayer, we have allocated Thursdays as a day of prayer and fasting; gathering again at 7.30pm this evening at the Runway.
Click here for all the information on other times to join corporately to pray during this season.
Lessons from the Burning Bush continues this week with another challenge - Holy Holy Holy.
3 And Moses said, "I will turn aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burned." 4 When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, "Here I am." 5 Then he said, "Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground." 6 And he said, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.
Exodus 3
I wonder if you could put yourself in Moses' shoes (or no shoes for that matter)😊
Moses is minding his own business one minute, walking through the wilderness, looking after the flock; and then the next – standing barefoot in front of a burning bush – the Holy presence of God!
As you watch this weeks reflection, ask yourself – what needs purification in my life? What does it look like in my life to return to innocence? Yikes!
To look into the fire of God's presence is to be refined!
Much blessings,
Morné
