Lunch Together

An African Dream Sponsorship
An African Dream are in urgent need of more people to sponsor orphans at St Mark School in Uganda, for £15 a month you could be involved in making education a possibility for the least fortunate children. Come and see us this Sunday after church to find out more, or donate here.
Evening Session: Transgender and Pastoral Response
On Sun 2nd March, 7:30pm, we will be joined by guest speaker Jo Dowds, who will lead us through this interactive, workshop-style session. In this session, there will be lots of opportunity for thought and discussion as we are presented with various hypothetical scenarios. We will explore how we apply the principles to our own lives and how we support those around us on the issues of gender and sexuality.
Evening Session
Navigating Gender & Sexuality with Children & Young People is our evening session on Sun 9th March, 7:30pm. Come along to this seminar to be equipped to be proactive around conversations of sexuality and gender; look at how to build in good foundations into your children and youth and find out what we are going to be doing as part of GodFirst for our kids and youth. This is particularly relevant to parents and those working with children and young people but everyone is welcome.
Iris Global UK / The Send Conference

Discovering Kingdom Culture
What do we mean by 'The Kingdom of God' and what does 'Kingdom Culture' look like? When people encounter you and I, do they experience something of what heaven might be like? We will explore all of this and more at our 3 week Discovering Kingdom Culture course. We want to be people who are learning to think and live like Jesus, expressing heaven on earth just as He did, so we can transform the world.

Valiant Man
As Paul mentions in the weekly video, Valiant Man is our men's discipleship group, starting on 19th Mar, 7:30pm. It's about men journeying together, journeying our identity as sons of the Father. Book Tour
Andrew Whitman is currently on the second leg of his book tour, giving a colourfully illustrated revival talk about the Jesus People Movement he was saved through in 1973. he is very soon arriving in nearby Southampton: Sun 9th March, 7pm at the Kings Church Centre, 414 Coxford Rd, Southampton, SO16 5LL.
You'd be very welcome to come along, joining with Jesus-followers and churches from across the city. The event is free and you don't have to book in. Andrew hopes to see many fellow GodFirsters there!
International World Day of Prayer
The Christchurch Branch World Day of Prayer Services will be held on Fri 7th March at St Luke's Church, Burton, 10.30 am and 7pm. Everyone is invited to join in worship and stay for refreshments in the hall afterwards. World Day of Prayer services are celebrated annually in over 170 countries, planned centrally and led locally by women from all denominations and open to all.
