Here are some activities that you might like to do after watching the video

Watch the walls of Jericho fall here:

• Colour in the storybook and talk about God telling Joshua what to do and Joshua doing exactly what God said. Click here

• Practice marching, counting and shouting or blowing a trumpet. Give your child an instruction and see if they can follow it exactly. Take turns in giving and following instructions.

• Act out the story using duplo bricks or boxes and play people or teddies. How many times do they have to march around the walls? Can you make a trumpet sound? Have fun making the walls fall down.

• The strong walls of Jericho came crashing down without the Israelites touching it. They just followed God's instructions to march, blow trumpets and shout. The wall wasn't stronger than God. Nothing is impossible for God. Sing my God is so big together to remind us that there is nothing God can't do.
