Jesus and his friends

3-4s | Sunday 25th October 2020

Here are some activities that you might like to do after watching the video

here are the activities for this week

Think about a friend, what makes you the same? Maybe you go to the same school or nursery, you might have the same eye or hair colour. Perhaps you like the same toys. Now think about what makes you different? We can have lots of differences but there is something very important that makes us all the same. We are all made by God and God loves all of us! We can all be friends with God, making a great big family.

Listen to this song and see if you can join in with the actions

In the story today, we can see that lots of different people are friends with Jesus. Were the children friends with him? Yes, Jesus wanted to be friends with the children and made time for them. We know that the children are important because he told his followers to let them come to him.  Jesus is never too busy for the children! What do you want to say to Jesus today? While you colour in the picture, talk to Jesus and tell him what is important to you. He is a good friend and likes to listen. Can you be a good friend and listen to Jesus? What is he saying to you today?

Make a friendship bracelet: please adapt this activity to your child's skill and available materials. Using string or a pipe cleaner, thread on beads/dried pasta/cheerios to make a bracelet. You could add the word Jesus to the middle of the bracelet either as a single word or individual letters. Remember that Jesus wants to be our friend and always has time for us.

There is some colouring here too.
