Let's have a think, where have you eaten breakfast? In the kitchen, at the dining table, in the garden? Perhaps you've had breakfast outside if you've been camping or on holiday somewhere warm and sunny. Maybe you have eaten breakfast on the beach, I have. But I didn't eat fish! What is your favourite thing to eat for breakfast? I like so many different things: pancakes, porridge, cereal, fruit and yogurt, pastries or toast. Even if we have a cooked breakfast we wouldn't normally eat fish for breakfast. But for the fishermen in the story, eating fish for breakfast on the beach wouldn't have been unusual. But what was strange is that Jesus was on the beach. He was their friend but he had died. But now he was alive again.
Imagine how happy and surprised his friends would have been. He was so really alive that he ate breakfast! He also showed how powerful he was by helping his friends catch so many fish. They had fished all night and caught nothing. When they followed the instructions Jesus gave them, they caught so many fish that the nets were too heavy to get back into the boat!

Have a look at the Jesus meets his friends sheet. Look at all the different ways that Jesus showed his friends that he was alive. Thank God that Jesus is alive. Worship him with your favourite song.
