Child of God - Identity Session 1

Here is a video that reminds us of the story of Jesus’ Baptism. Matt 3 v 17 And a voice spoke from heaven. The voice said, “This is my Son and I love him. I am very pleased with him.”

Today we learned about the truth that if we know and love Jesus we have the right to a Child of God. Wow.

Remember our key verse for today is John 1 v12 ‘But some people did accept him. They believed in him. To them he gave the right to become children of God.’

Activities for this week.

• Here is a sheet full of puzzles that Deb has made for you! It also includes some questions for you to talk about as a family - why not use it as a placemat. Enjoy. Find it here

• Here is a colouring sheet of the other story from the morning - The Transfiguration. Enjoy here

• Family activity, write on bit of paper words that say what God says to them i.e. loved, precious, chosen, fruitful, brave etc etc - then put these in a bowl and each member of the family pulls one out at a meal time.
