Main Aim.
To think and learn about Christians and children in other parts of the world (particularly Uganda) and pray for them.
Here is an explanation of today’s session from Sam.
Here is a conversation between Sam and Sophie about the work of An African Dream in Uganda
Here is a video of some of the children from St Mark’s school worshipping God – enjoy it – find your favourite worship song and have a sing along to it… imagine that you are worshipping with all your friends… you will one day soon.
Activities
Learn the Memory Verse
So go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything that I have told you. You can be sure that I will be with you always. I will continue with you until the end of the world.” Matt 28 v19-20 ICB
Draw a picture for our friends in Uganda.
Write a name of God on a piece of A4/A5 paper and decorate it – you could also write a message like ‘sending you God’s love.’ Get your grown up to send a photo of your picture to Sam and she will send it to Uganda via Whatsapp.
Pin it up somewhere you will see it and pray for another country every time you look at it.
Beans and Rice
In Uganda the children would eat basic foods like beans (like baked beans) and rice for lunch and maybe a banana for breakfast. Why not have just beans and rice for dinner one evening this week and thank God for all the varieties of food you have.
Colouring and a Wordsearch

Open Doors (A Christian Organisation the helps the persecuted church) produces some great resources for kids and families.
We would like to recommend the Fast Food for Children activity here https://www.opendoorsuk.org/resources/children/children/ you can eat your dinner and learn about the persecuted church together and pray for Christians around the world. There are table mats to print and some cool videos to watch.
